BBC PLANS EXTENSIVE COVERAGE
LONDON, UK – Probably because they took the contest seriously and have a real opportunity to win the whole thing this year, British broadcaster, BBC, has decided to focus its Radio 2 programme schedule on Copenhagen festivities during Eurovision week, launching a Eurovision radio channel. A bunch of BBC celebs will host several shows, and deal with everything about Eurovision, live from the 2014 host city:
Paddy O’Connell (along with Ana Matronic) : Pre-final party
Brian Matthew: “Sound Of The 60’s” Eurovision special
Johnnie Walker: “Sound Of The 70’s” Eurovision special
Sara Cox: “Sound Of The 80’s” Eurovision special
Terry Wogan: a focus on Ireland’s Eurovision history
David Quantick: “Blagger’s Guide To Eurovision”
even Michael Ball and Maria McErlane will be part of the team.
The station will broadcast every day from noon to midnight, from Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th.
