VIENNA, AUSTRIA – The Austrian representatives at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, band The Makemakes, have produced their own line of limited edition beer. The trio’s beer, brewed at the Ottakringer Brewery, which will play host to this year’s Euroclub, will be served to fans on May 17.
A total of 3.000 bottles have been produced. The head of the brewery, Matthias Ortner, said, “As host of the Euroclub, the location of the brewery will serve as a meeting place for artists, journalists and delegations.
Conveniently located close to the connection of music is our brewing factory Craft Bier Brauerei, which opened in autumn 2014 under the motto ‘Brewed with love and music’. Therefore we are particularly pleased that our Austrian candidates The Makemakes, together with our team in the brewing factory, created their own beer”. The beer is suitably entitled The Makemakes – Das Bier.
The Makemakes revealed it has been a dream if theirs to produce their own beer. One of the members, Markus, said his grandfather was a brewmaster himself. “We believe that we have produced a very good, fruity beer. Incidentally also suitable for non-beer drinkers”, The Makemakes say.
