LATVIA – From September 3rd to October 21st LTV accepts submissions for Supernova, through which the country will decide its participation in Eurovision 2019. Three changes will apply though, this year in Supernova. First, anyone of 16 years old can submit interest (signers or authors)). Second, top radio station producers will form a jury off experts to find the hit song. Submitted demos although unlikely to proceed are given the option for changes throughout the Supernova procedure.
CZECH REPUBLIC – CT kicks off eternal selection process for their participation in Eurovision 2019. Those interested to submit a song can e-mail the broadcaster at firstname.lastname@example.org by October 31st.
SWITZERLAND – After revealing earlier this summer that Die Entschediungsshow would no longer be used to select their entry, Switzerland’s new internal process is now taking shape. Posting the news on twitter, SRF has announced that Swiss citizens can now start applying to be part of the 100 member audience panel. Those interest can apply here.
SPAIN – In a recent interview Alfred spoke about his participation in OT. “Is a reality. But my time for ‘OT’ was just a consequence of the fact that I wanted to make myself known as a composer and musician. I am very grateful to the program because it gave me a great opportunity, but for me it was just an instrument to get what I wanted.” But the most interesting highlight was when he said: “I’ve done marketing strategies that nobody would think a 21 year old could do. And everyone come, ‘this is true or false’. I took the opportunity to make known my figure and my art.” Did he just refer to his relationship with Amaia?
SPAIN – We stay in Spain as OT 2018 kicks off on September 18th. RTVE though has not yet declared if the show will be used again as the national selection format for Eurovision 20019.
SWEDEN – Swedish broadcaster SVT is now accepting submissions for Melodifestivalen 2019, the national selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. Artists wishing to compete in the contest have until 17th September to submit their entries to SVT.
FYR MACEDONIA / NORWAY – On Insta Story exchange the 2017 representatives of FYR Macedonia and Norway, Jana Burčeska and JOWST joked (or hinted?) a potential collaboration idea?
