SAN MARINO – Although 1i360 is rebranding itself for the new season there is no indication that San Marino’s state television will use this show for their national selection. Further more it is to exactly meet confirmed that SMRTV will participate in the contest.
MONTENEGRO – Under a fake Twitter account last night, fuzz created when it was spread that RTCG withdraws from 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. The news on the web are completely false.
ISRAEL – Israel grants an extension on the guarantee payment to the EBU by August 14th. In the meantime KAN is negotiating the 2019 Eurovision budget which seems to reach the amount of 35 million Euros. Although local press claims that 23,5 million Euros will come from the government (taxes) and 11.5 million Euros from ticket sales and sponsorships, the press forgets to mention that part of the budget will be funded by the participant countries fees and of course the BIG 5 share.
UNITED KINGDOM – David Watkin, Ursula Leveaux. Noè Rodrigo Gisbert, Sinae Lee will be the jury members for the semi finals of Eurovision Young Musicians and Sir James MacMillan, Marin Alsop, Anna Meredith for the final on August 23rd.
DENMARK – Dansk Melodi Grand Prix has been confirmed once again as the national selection of Denmark for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest as DR confirmed participation for Israel.
EBU – Despite the recent negative TRT comments over Eurovision, EBU responded that the country is welcomed to join the event if they want to participate again marking their hosting in 2004.
LITHUANIA – LRT confirmed their participation in 2019 Eurovision Song Contest but sources claim that Eurovizijos Atranka is about to take a big facelift as it has been criticised as a too-much marathon selection.
SERBIA – Up to November 1st those interested to participate in the Serbian national final ca submit their bids. The national final will decide the winner through public ad jury voting.
