ROMANIA – Besides performing at Golden Stag at the end of the month along artists like the 1964 Eurovision winner, Gigliola Cinquetti, Eleni Foureira has been announced as a jury member of the festival.
AZERBAIJAN – Ictimai follows Serbia announcing officially their participation in the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. Therefore we have 21 confirmed participating countries for the Israel Eurovision edition so far.
ISRAEL – Shiri Maimon reached 4th place in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with HaSheket SheNish’ar (The Silence that Remains). 14 years on, she will join the judging panel for the next season of HaKokhav HaBa (The Next Star), the show which will select the Israeli entry into Eurovision 2019!
UNITED KINGDOM – Ireland’s Eurovision 2017 singer Brendan Murray and the Maltese Junior Eurovision 2013 winner Gaia Cauchi have both been spotted auditioning for The X Factor UK.
GREECE – Helena Paparizou responded once again to “why she didn’t accept “Fuego” question. She said it wasn’t;t simply the time to do it and she continues saying: “You see, Eleni did lot better”.
DENMARK – Eurovision 2013 winner, Emmelie de Forest, has just been announced as one of the contestants in this year’s Vild med Dans — the Danish version of Strictly Come Dancing. “I’ve never really danced before. People think I have because I sing and make music. But normally I never dance myself and that’s one of the reasons why I’ve said yes. I want to learn”, she said.
SPAIN – One of the most successful participants in Eurovision the recent years for Spain is Sergio Dalma. In a recent interview he cleared that we would not come back to the contest not only due to his age but also because back in the 90s the contest was imagination and not technology.
