Armenia 2019 🇦🇲 Srbuk to Tel Aviv
ARMENIA – Public TV Company of Armenia announced that Srbuk will represent Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019!
Head of the Armenian delegation David Tserunyan stated that this year AMPTV has decided to hold an internal selection. “It was our team’s unanimous decision to choose Srbuk to represent Armenia at ESC 2019! I would also like to highlight that many Armenian fans of the contest wanted to see her on the Eurovision stage. I am confident that Srbuk’s unique character will impress the fans and viewers all over the world”- said David.
Armenia’s head of delegation Anushik said: ”I’ve been following Srbuk’s career for a long time. I can distinguish her diligence and unique energy, which are among the most important characteristics, that can help achieve good results in Eurovision.”
Srbuk is one of the rising stars of Armenia. She has participated in numerous competitions, both local and international, including Ukraine’s edition of “The Voice”, where she was one of the favorites and has successfully reached the final stage of the competition. Her hit single “Yete karogh es” has been on top of the Armenian charts for weeks. Recently she has dropped a new single titled “Half a Goddess”.
“I am starting a new journey now, which, I am sure, will be full of new and pleasant emotions, challenges and amazing experiences! I am grateful to all of my friends and fans, who are always with me and have always wanted to see me on the Eurovision stage. I am grateful to the Public Television of Armenia for their trust. It’s an honor to represent my country in front of the whole world! We have an amazing journey ahead of us, and I hope we’ll succeed together!” said Srbuk.
The Public TV Company of Armenia is also announcing an open call of song submissions for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. If you are a composer interested in submitting a song for our selection, please follow the guidelines listed below.
• The submitted song should not exceed 3 minutes.
• The submitted song should not have been published or publicly available before September 1, 2018.
• If submitted, the lyrics of the song should lack a political context, offensive expressions and any inappropriate language.
• The submitted song should not be a propaganda of any organization or advertise any product,
• The submitted song can be in any genre, the lyrics (if available) should be in Armenian or English.
The song should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org before January 10, 2019. Please attach a document of copyright registration of the song and your contact details to the email.
