APRIL 30: BACKSTAGE STORIES
OUR EDITOR ASKS ISRAELI ARTIST AT PRESS & MEET
At the Israelian press meet & greet yesterday Oikotimes got the microfone and asked Mei Finegold why she has chosen to sing in both English and Hebrew. She said that the flow of the song was good when the lyrics is in both languages.
PORTUGUESE DELEGATION CHAOS
The Portuguese representative, Suzy, will definitely remember her Danish experience, but not in the best way. After her delegation got lost in Copenhagen on Monday, bad luck seems to be the new member the Portuguese team. Yesterday, at her hotel, the singer was assaulted and robbed her handbag. Suzy was hence taken her personal documents, cell phones and Danish crowns since the robber managed to escape immediately. One of RTP producers was also stolen his backpack. The delegation from Portugal has reported the incident to the Portuguese embassy as well as local authorities. Unfortunately, her communication guru, Vasco Pereira, declared he had not found Danish police as helpful as expected. Suzy is keeping cool and is still focusing on her participation to this year’s contest.
OIKOTIMES QUESTIONS TEO (BELARUS)
Teo from Belarus had his first rehearsal today. During the traditional meet and greet session, one of Oikotimes’ editors had the opportunity to ask him a question about the possible advice he had been given by his parents and friends before he left his home country. The singer answered that his mum wants him to eat well and gain weight again (after he lost 10 kg) and his dad wants him to meet as many people as possible in Copenhagen, and invite them to visit Belarus.
