🇵🇹 RTP have released the names of those involved in the planning of the contest for Lisbon. The names are Nuno Galopim (Creative Supervisor), Lucy Pepper (Script Supervisor) and Pedro Miguel Ribeiro (Script Writer). All three are fundamental to the presentation for the Song Contest, that will be hosted by Filomena Cautela, Silvia Alberto, Catarina Furtado and Daniela Ruah.
🇫🇮 The first edition of “De Eurovisa” on Svenska YLE, Finland’s television network has been won by Netta, who will representing Israel with the song “Toy” in Lisbon. Albania and Azerbaijan came second and third respectively. The votes were taken by a jury panel made up of Jakob Norrgård, Sofia Finnilä, Eva Frantz and Johan Lindroos, with a score from 1 to 10.
In the second edition of “De Eurovisa”, Finland’s Elina Nechayeva who will be singing “La Forza” in Lisbon came last with the jury panel. That jury comprised Jakob Norrgård, Sofia Finnilä, Erica Back and Mårten Svartström. The edition was curiously won by Saara Aalto, who will be representing Finland in Lisbon. Austria, Czech Republic and Greece made up the remaining Top 4.
Rasmussen, who will be representing Denmark in Lisbon with the song “Higher ground”, has come out on top with a jury panel of Svenska YLE on their third edition of the Eurovision preview show “De Eurovisa”. The votes are between 1 and 10, with the jury having been made up of Eva Frantz, Johan Lindroos , Jennie Storbackan and Paradise Oskar. Netherlands and Ireland occupied the second and third place in the top 3.
🇧🇬 Equinox, who will be representing Bulgaria in Lisbon, with the song “Bones” have presented their stage setup for Eurovision. The group noted on social media that “the performance will contrast darkness and light, playing with the main idea behind Bones that in the end, light will prevail over everything else”.
🇩🇪 In Germany, the preview show for Eurovision, “Countdown für Lissabon” that airs on NDR has announced its guests. The show, presented by Barbara Schöneberger will include Max Giesinger, Lotte, Revolverheld, Mary Roos, Mike Singer and voXXclub. It will air 45 minutes before the final from Lisbon is screened.
🇷🇺 Yulia Samoylova who will represent Russia in Lisbon with the song “I won’t break” has slipped back in the betting odds for Eurovision victory, now standing in 9th place from a high of 3rd. Weak vocals from both Yulia and her backing singers at the Moscow Eurovision Party did not bode well with fans and viewers alike. Meanwhile Yulia has stated that she will be performing on stage with her backing singers as she feels that the performance on stage will be better because of it. For her, she states “it is important to participate, enjoy my time in Portugal and interract with all the participants”.
🇲🇹 Christabelle, who will represent Malta in Lisbon with her song “Taboo”, has embarked on a promotion tour in Slovenia. She stated that she expects to perform well in Lisbon, as she “always prepares for competition, having gained experience every year through Malta Eurovision”. The promotion tour is an opportunity to prepare last minute details and present the song officially to the public.
