WALWYN GARDEN CITY, UNITED KINGDOM – Alex Larke 36, born and bred in Welwyn Garden City, will be bringing Christmas to the town this year.
The former Stanborough School pupil told Welwyn Hatfield Times: “I’m over the moon and thrilled to bits, to be turning on the Christmas lights this year.
“Its nice that the town recognises what we did in the Eurovision. Its cool that they remember us for the little things we do now and again.”
The lights will be switched on Thursday 19 November, joining the celebrations there will be live music on stage, including performances from Oaklands College Students.
Children will be able to meet Father Christmas and his huskies. The Snowman and The Snowdog will also be making an appearance and there will be fun fair rides and street entertainers.
