UNITED KINGDOM – Tulisa has denied reports that she was setting her sights on the Eurovision Song Contest in a plot to return to the charts. The former The X Factor judge racked up three top 20 hits in 2012 — including her number one debut single Young.
However, the 30 year old attempted a failed comeback in 2015 when Living Without You limped into the charts at number 44 and a cover of Shanks & Bigfoot’s Sweet Like Chocolate failed to chart.
Now, the N-Dubz singer has been rumoured to be hoping to head to Israel as she was believed to be hoping to represent the United Kingdom in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
Since rumours of Tulisa’s participation in the contest began to circulate, she has deleted a photo of herself in a recording studio captioned with lightning emojis from her Instagram page.
However, a representative for Tulisa has denied the claims, telling OK! online: “This is completely untrue. Tulisa is not competing in Eurovision: You Decide this year.”
If reports were true, Tulisa wouldn’t have been the only famous face in attendance at the contest.
RuPaul’s Drag Race star and Celebrity Big Brother winner Courtney Act has already released her bid to represent her home country Australia with the song Fight For Love.
Human Ken doll Rodrigo Alves has also sparked rumours that he will be representing San Marino in the contest’s 64th edition.
The controversial reality star told Instagram followers: “The secret to the success is to have the right people around you, who believes that you can do it working on a new pop hit which will be out next year,” before adding the hashtag #eurovision.
