🇳🇱 Is Ilse DeLange coming back to Eurovision next year?

Fotis Konstantopoulos (Greece)

THE NETHERLANDS – Back in 2015 Ilse DeLange and Waylon became the Eurovision Song Contest runner ups with a song which prior to the contest didn’t make any impact to the fans, media or bookies. Their amazing performance alongside with the superb camera work and stage presentation already made everyone considering them as a dark horse when rehearsals started in Vienna.

On 9 November 2017, it was announced Waylon will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 for the Netherlands. The choice of the song “Outlaw in ‘Em” was announced on the 2nd of March 2018. He performed in the second semi-final on 10 May 2018 and qualified for the final on 12 May 2018. Waylon finished 18th place with 121 points. The Eurovision Song Contest fans gave him the pet name ‘Walton’.

Is the turn of Ilse DeLange now? Well this is assumed after her interview in RTL where she left open doors to potential solo participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. DeLange represented the Netherlands, with singer Waylon as The Common Linnets, during the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark. They took second place after the winner Conchita Wurst from Austria. She returned to The Voice of Holland as a coach for its fifth season in August.

On January 15, 2015, it was announced that DeLange would be replaced as a coach for the sixth season of The Voice of Holland by Miss Montreal. DeLange decided she wanted to spend more time on her international career with The Common Linnets. However, she was announced as the new coach for the fifth season of The Voice Kids, replacing Angela Groothuizen.

On December 7, 2017 it was revealed that DeLange would have a recurring role in the final season of the ABC/CMT musical-drama series Nashville.
