MALTA – Silent for a while, Amber has been working on a whole new studio album. Although she kept performing and working in the music industry, Amber was working on her music to release a whole new album later on this year.
This album will be a collaboration with different producers all working to highlight Amber’s particular timber and style. Through this new release Amber went back to her roots, finding her true self in music and genre. This album will be all penned by Amber herself, in a self exploratory journey through music and life experiences.
Alive, composed by Elton Zarb and Amber at WickedandLoud, is a song about love. Love has no age, no limit, no races, no genders and as cliche as it might sound… Love is just love.
The music video, directed by Olwyn Jo, shows a couple who met in a day center and fell in love. Each day they exchange little glances, a smile… until they realise that love is never too old… with a cheeky ending!
We Kindly asked though Amber’s opinion and favourites for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest entries. Although we told her to do it in a Eurovision style (which means she had to exclude her home country), the singer praised Michela and her entry. Let’s see her favourites below which include Switzerland, Italy and Greece. But in what order?
Amber was a keen student of judo as a youngster, obtaining a Green Belt before an injury forced her to quit at the age of 15. Since then she’s put her competitive energy into music, gaining success in local talent shows. Amber’s number one passion is music and her dream is to secure a recording contract and perform in other countries.
Amber enjoys voluntary work. She spent three weeks working for a charity in Tanzania in 2013 and plans to return this summer. She also spent time helping young kids in need in Reggio Calabria in Italy.
Amber is a Facebook addict and hopes to get to know the other contestants online before meeting them in person. She’s also a chocoholic and is looking forward to trying Austrian chocolates and drinking a hot chocolate in a Vienna coffee house.
Amber proudly represented Malta in 2015 with a magnificent song which missed qualification as it ranked 11th in the second semi final. Though most of Eurofans (including us) considered the song adequate and valley delivered enough to have been qualified.
