Vasil Dimitrov (Bulgaria)
SPAIN – In a recent interview, the 2009 Spanish representative Soraya, spoke about lots of things and of course, the Eurovision Song Contest. Giving birth to her child, Soraya is going to participate in next season’s Your Face Sounds Familiar. She says she sees it as a challenge as she is not known to be a funny person, joking around.
Regarding Eurovision, she says it was a trauma for her. She only wanted to participate, giving 100% of herself, believing 100% in the song and wanted to be the person who would have brought the contest in Spain and make the entire nation happy. When she participated she was only fighting for the trophy. For long time, Eurovision failure of 2009 was considered for her a trauma.
In the interview she also said what is the hardest part of her being a singer: “Distance. Have something beautiful happen to you and yours are far away. It has happened to me to finish a historical performance, like the recent one of Cadena 100, and to have my boy outside. I arrived home and, alone, I started crying because I was angry that, one of the most beautiful moments of my career, I could not share it with anyone.”
