DENMARK – A weird incident occurred yesterday at DR’s DMGP presentation of the finalists as a man appeared to protest during the presentation. But it seems that there was no issue of security or imminent threat as it was conducted by a comedian.
Yousef Hadaoui took the opportunity to “protest” for the recent booing of Danish fans in the Handball World Cup final with Norway. The Danish audience at the match booed the Norwegian players whenever they had the ball, even after it was obvious that they would loose. This has been debated back and forth for the last week, whether that was OK.
So this stunt is a continuation of this debate. It is no secret that for Danes, a Norwegian can appear drunk even by having coffee and water! a joke of another stereotype since alcohol is cheaper inn Denmark than Norway.
Yousef Mourad Hadaoui is a Norwegian comedian from Bøler in Oslo. He has been running comedy in various forms for several years and been on TV since 2010.
He is also an active social debate and advocate for social-critical satire, a topic he has talked about among other things at NRK. He has also stated that Norwegian media is too cowardly about making humor about prejudice and religion.
