INFORMATION ABOUT OVI JACOBSEN
Ovidiu Cernăuţeanu, also known as Ovi Martin, Ovidiu Jacobsen, or widely known as his Eurovision alias Ovi is a Romanian-born Norwegian singer-songwriter, producer and musician. He rose to fame in his adoptive country Norway in 2008 when he first took part in the Melodi Grand Prix 2008 where he didn’t qualify to the final. The next year he was a finalist of the Melodi Grand Prix 2009 but lost to Alexander Ryback. In 2010 he participated in the Selectia Nationala 2010 for Romania alongside Paula Seling. They won with song “Playing with Fire” with which they represented Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. They qualified for the grand final where they took the third position, only behind winner Germany and runner-up Turkey. After Eurovision, Ovi released a duet album with Seling and released a couple of radio singles “Counting Down” and “Calling You (Hello, Hello)”. In 2012 he was back in the Melodi Grand Prix 2012 this time as a songwriter along with Thomas G:son and Tommy Berre for the song “High On Love” as performed by Reidun Sæther. The song qualified for the final. Apart from the European recognition, Ovi has also entered several music charts with songs like “Seven Seconds” (2009), “Playing with Fire” (2010) or “Calling You (Hello, Hello)” (2011) — the latter two are featuring Paula Seling. He is also the Popularity Award winner of the 2009 Golden Stag Festival. He is planning a return to the Selecţia Naţională to represent Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012.

Paula Seling (Romanian pronunciation: [ˈpa.ula ˈseliŋɡ], born 25 December 1978, in Baia Mare)[2][3][4][5] is a Romanian musician, TV celebrity, Radio DJ, and a coach from television music competition franchise X Factor, Season 1. She has released more than thirteen albums (including three Christmas albums) and over twenty singles, including two top-ten hits in the Romanian Top 100, a minor European hit which entered the charts in Finland and Norway, as well as the UK Singles Chart and a good position on the worldwide chart of popularity by the name of Starcount, that analysed fans concern about the artists from all over the world. Paula is trilingual and speaks, writes and performs in French, English and Romanian; in addition she performs in Italian. She is an outspoken supporter of personal freedoms, individual rights and human rights, she is an inspiration to young people and through her style, grace and humility she provides an example for all of us. She represented Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, with Ovidiu Cernăuțeanu, with the song “Playing with Fire”. They finished third in the final.[11] She then participated in Dansez Pentru Tine (Romanian Dancing with the Stars) where she finished third. From October 2011 Seling was a juror and mentor in the Romanian X Factor. In 2011 she collaborated with Al Bano and Plan D. In 2011/ 2012 she sang a song called “I’ll show you” with Alexander Rybak. The song, which is written by the latter, had premiere 30 May 2012. In 2012, she was chosen by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment to record the song My spirit flies- Chiar pot zbura, for the Pixar Academy Award for Best Animated Feature animation Brave (2012 film). The video on YouTube has 125.658 views and in fact was meet by public as a true Disney masterpiece.
