The ethno-pop Udmurt band of elderly women “Buranovskiye Babushki” that became world-famous after Eurovision 2012 have taken part in recording a CD of Olympic songs.
The CD includes 10 songs that chosen in a competition organized by a radio station. Buranovskiye Babushki are singing together with Nafa, a singer from the Krasnodar region, press-secretary of the band Svetlana Sarygina said.
One new song is dedicated to the “mountain land of the eagles”, the North Caucasus. The melody of the song refers to ethnic Caucasian songs, ITAR-TASS writes.
